<Naturalization>

A foreign national who wishes to obtain Japanese nationality must go through naturalization.

Procedures for Naturalization are within the jurisdiction of The Legal Affairs Bureau(Homukyoku in Japanese).
The disadvantage of Naturalization is that you will be asked to lose your original nationality, as Japanese government has a no dual nationality policy.

Regarding this procedures, a foreign national must go to the Legal Affairs Bureau by he or herself, as we cannot act as a proxy in this matter. We support to fill in, collect or complete the whole paper works needed for this procedures.
